Getting started

From box to practice in two weeks

Everything else — blocks, bolsters, wheels — is optional. This is the honest minimum that covers a full home practice.

Day 1

Roll out the mat, keep it out

A visible mat is the difference between practising three times a week and remembering you meant to. 6mm means spine work doesn't hurt.

Week 1

Socks on, basics first

Bridges, hundreds, leg circles. The grip socks keep feet planted on the mat so you can hold form instead of fighting slide.

Week 2+

Add the ring

Between the knees for bridges, at chest height for arms. Fixed, even compression — the plateau-breaker once bodyweight gets easy.
