The recovery stack

A percussion gun for the deep work, a roller for broad surfaces, a strap so the mobility work actually happens. Bought together it costs less than the three parts.

How to build a recovery routine that you'll actually keep

Recovery tools fail for one reason: they live in a cupboard. The pieces that get used are the ones within reach of where you train. Start with one tool, keep it out, and give it ten minutes after your two hardest sessions of the week.

If you train hard three or more times a week, a percussion gun earns its price — it reaches the calves, forearms and upper back that body weight on a roller can't load properly. If you train twice a week and mostly want general looseness, a $29 roller and a strap will do the same job for a third of the money.

What to skip: vibrating everything. A vibrating roller is a nice-to-have on top of a gun, not instead of one. And no tool fixes a back problem that comes from sitting eleven hours a day — that's a movement question, not an equipment question.

A tool helps. Sleep decides.

Every tool on this page works on the same 10 minutes after training. The bigger lever is the eight hours after that.

Seven principles, sleep reference tables, and a 14-day reset worksheet.
